Who we are

Rebel Logistics Pty Ltd (ABN 42 632 300 022), 62 Dougharty Road, Heidelberg West VIC 3081. For anything about this policy, or about information we hold on you, email yamin@rebellogistics.com.au or call 0420 411 168.

This policy is the one referred to in clause 11.13 of our Terms and Conditions.

What we collect

  • Your name, and the name of the business you are booking for.
  • Your phone number and email address.
  • Pickup and delivery addresses, including access notes you give us — stairs, parking, lift bookings, where a key is kept.
  • Details of the goods we move or store: what they are, how many, their size, their condition, and photographs taken at collection and delivery as proof of condition.
  • Where someone else is receiving the delivery, that person's name, phone number and address — given to us by the client who booked.
  • Payment details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • A signature captured on the driver's device when goods are delivered.

Why we collect it

To quote, to book and schedule the work, to carry out deliveries, installation and storage, to contact you about a job in progress, to invoice and take payment, to meet our insurance and record-keeping obligations, and to handle an insurance claim or a dispute if one arises.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing to you unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

  • Subcontractors and crew performing part of a job. They receive what they need to do it — the addresses, the contact name and number, and the job notes.
  • Our insurer and broker, where a claim is made or where cover requires it.
  • Our payment provider, to take and reconcile payment.
  • The IT and booking systems we run on: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Twilio (the SMS we send you), and Google Calendar where a job is synced to our own scheduling calendar.
  • Our accountant, for invoicing and tax records.
  • Anyone else where you ask us to, or where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia. We use them because they are standard, maintained services; we do not otherwise send personal information overseas.

What the website itself does

There is no analytics on this website, no advertising or marketing tracking, and no cookie banner — because nothing here sets a cookie.

Two third parties are contacted by your browser when you use the site. Our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address on every page view whether or not you interact with anything. And if you start typing in an address field on the quote form, each keystroke is sent to Google Maps to offer address suggestions — that only begins once you put the cursor in an address box.

The postcode you enter for a delivery is used in your own browser to work out whether a job is Metro or Regional. That calculation never leaves your device.

How it is stored and secured

Job and customer records live in a Supabase Postgres database with row-level security, so a signed-in account can only reach the records its role permits. Photographs and signatures are held in access-controlled storage. Administrative access is limited to the business owner.

The public tracking link we may text you uses a random, unguessable token and returns a deliberately narrow set of fields — the job's progress and your own address. It does not expose prices, our notes, or any other customer's details.

How long we keep it

We keep job records for as long as we need them for the work, for our tax and insurance obligations, and for any dispute. Deleting a record in our system marks it as deleted and hides it from day-to-day use; it is not automatically purged on a timer, and it is removed permanently when we clear it. If you want your information removed sooner, ask us and we will tell you what we can delete and what we are required to keep.

Getting a copy, or correcting it

Email yamin@rebellogistics.com.au and ask. We will confirm who you are before we send anything, and we will respond within a reasonable time — normally within 30 days. There is no charge for asking. If we cannot give you something, we will tell you why.

If something we hold is wrong — a misspelled name, an old address, the wrong number — tell us and we will correct it.

Making a complaint

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email yamin@rebellogistics.com.au with the details and we will investigate and write back. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy
